The cold attitude of the People’s Republic of China toward Israel was displayed in a volleyball championship tournament between Israeli and Chinese high school girls in Bristol, England over the weekend. The contestants were the Israeli champions from the Khashmonayim school in Bat Yam and the champions of Shantung province. The latter demonstrated unsportsmanlike behavior when, after defeating the Israeli team 2-0, they refused to shake hands with their opponents, turned their backs and walked away.
