In response to a letter from the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign demanding the cancellation of “The Timekeepers,” a play by a Tel Aviv theater group exploring the relationship between a Jewish man and a German homosexual in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, Wolfgang Hoffmann insisted he would not “be bullied into not working with artists that I respect.”
