A huge traffic jam clogged the streets of reunified Jerusalem yesterday as thousands of pilgrims arrived from all parts of the country for the annual Sukkoth pilgrimage which for the first time in 20 years included a visit to the Western Wall. A special train was put into service to Jerusalem for the occasion and hundreds of buses and automobiles brought additional pilgrims to Mount Zion. A special prayer service was held by Chief Rabbi Shlomo Pardess of Jerusalem. After the service, the pilgrims went to the Western Wall.
