The Voice of America Hebrew-language broadcasts beamed to Israel will start on April 16, it was learned today. The daily broadcast will run for 30 minutes and will be received in Israel in the early evening, from 8 to 8.30 P.M. Although only Israelis with short-wave receivers will be able to hear the American transmissions, a comparatively large audience is expected for the American program since Israel has a relatively high proportion of short-wave receivers.
