The police today searched the home of Stanislaw Steiger’s parents in connection with the new investigation which has been ordered by the authorities against Steiger, accused of having thrown the bomb at the Polish President, Wojciechowski, during his recent visit to Warsaw. The police, according to an official statement issued today, were unable to find anything suspicious.
Nevertheless, Steiger is still under arrest and has been placed under even stricter surveillance. Private food is not permitted to him, in spite of his health which is unsatisfactory. Steiger’s lawyer, Grek, has received many anonymous threatening letters.
