Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said that if re-elected next month he would not appoint to Cabinet posts any Likud members who oppose the eventual creation of a Palestinian state. “Contradictory messages are emanating from the Likud, and it is damaging to be portrayed in this way,” Sharon said Monday. “Whoever does not accept my political plan will not be a member of the next government. I do not intend to establish a non-unified government.”
