AMSTERDAM (JTA) — An Amsterdam rental agency advertising an apartment to rent no longer says that guests "can live Anne Frank."
The amsterdamstay.com agency removed the slogan from its Web site after being contacted by the Anne Frank Foundation, which oversees the Anne Frank House and museum here.
The foundation holds legal rights to the Anne Frank name and forbids its use without permission. A staff member at the Anne Frank House said one reason is to prevent tourist industry exploitation of the name.
