NEW YORK (JTA) — Argentina’s president called for the extradition to her country of Iranian officials wanted in the 1994 bombing of the Buenos Aires Jewish center.

In her speech at the U.N. General Assembly on Wednesday, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner called for the extradition of the suspects wanted by Interpol for the bombing of the AMIA Jewish community center, which killed 85 people in 1994. The bombing was allegedly carried out by Hezbollah agents with Iranian sponsorship and organization, but Argentina has not been able to bring anyone to justice for perpetrating the attack.
