A request to Secretary of State John Foster Dulles that the State Department reconsider its present policy, under which arms and technical assistance would be furnished to Egypt, was made here in a letter to Mr. Dulles from Sidney M. Shevitz, president of the Jewish Community Council here, and Irving W. Schlussel, president of the Zionist Council of Detroit.
