Dr. Israel Goldstein was today re-elected to his 21st consecutive term as president of the Jewish Conciliation Board of America at the annual meeting held by the Board.
During the past year 134 cases have come up before the Board for adjudication and conciliation. Every case is heard by three judges–a rabbi, a lawyer, and a businessman. In the course of its existence of 26 years, the Conciliation Board has dealt with 4,324 cases, without any charge to the litigants. These cases, if tried in the city courts, would have cost the city hundreds of thousands of dollars.
