The first group of young pine trees was planted today in a forest dedicated to the 1,000,000 Jewish children who fell victim to the Nazis. The forest is located in the Judean Hills near Kesalon.

Delegations of school children from all parts of Israel participated in the planting ceremonies today. Dr. I. Ben Yehuda, chairman of the Jewish National Fund Teachers Council, told the children that the forest was being made possible partly through the efforts of Jewish school children in this country and abroad.

Several days ago the first trees in a forest dedicated to 600,000 Czech Jews who died during the Nazi regime were planted in an area not far from the children’s forest.
