One of the Israeli officials in charge of the Gaza Strip withdrawal asked for forgiveness from evacuated settlers. “If, God forbid, we hurt them more than necessary, apart from in the very, very hard blow they suffered in being deported, I sincerely, sincerely apologize before them,” Yonatan Bassi, head of the government’s Disengagement Authority, said Sunday on Army Radio.
