Thieves entered the Lefferts Park Synagovue at 7,902 Fifteenth avenue, Brooklyn, early Friday and ripped open a safe. taking $7 and eleven sacred vessels valued at $700.
Entry was effected by forcing a basement window of the synagogue. Late Friday afternoon the police of the Bath Beach station had failed in apprehending the safe crackers.
The burglary was discovered by Rabbi Adolph Klein of the synagogue, who notified the authorities at the Bath Beach station. Detectives and fingerprint experts were sent to investigate.
