The president of an organization helping U.S. immigrants from the former Soviet Union resigned. Mark Handelman’s Aug. 13 resignation after 25 years from his post at the New York Association for New Americans is seen as an indication that the resettlement of immigrants from the former Soviet Union is over, the New York Jewish Week reported.
