Twice as many non-Jews as Jews approve of Sen. Joseph Lieberman’s campaign references to God and scripture, according to a new survey by the Center for Jewish Community Studies. Conducted in September, the study of U.S. residents also found that while 84 percent of Jews are happy Lieberman was nominated for the vice presidency, 55 percent are happy that he is a religious Jew.
