(JTA) — The proportion of Israeli Jews who believe Barack Obama’s policies are pro-Israel has fallen to 4 percent, according to a new survey.

The poll, conducted this week on behalf of the Jerusalem Post, is the latest marker illustrating Obama’s steady decline in popularity among Israelis. Earlier this month, a poll conducted jointly by the Hebrew University and the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research found that 12 percent of Israelis saw Obama as more supportive of Israel than the Palestinians.

A similar Jerusalem Post survey in June reported the figure to be 6 percent. Another survey conducted by the Post in May just prior to Obama’s meeting in Washington with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, found that 31 percent saw the American president as pro-Israel.

According to the latest poll, 51 percent of Israelis see the Obama administration as more pro-Palestinian than pro-Israel, while 35 percent consider it neutral.

The survey has a margin of error of 4.5 percent.
