The appearance of blog-sweetheart Natalie Portman and Benjamin Milliepied at the Academy Awards on Sunday wasn’t supposed to be extraordinary in any way, except for one very small (yet very expensive) detail: The two were wearing wedding rings on the red carpet, without telling anyone they got married.
According to People magazine, jeweler Jamie Wolf, who is Millepied’s dance pal, confirmed today that she is the one who designed the pair’s wedding rings. The binding piece of art is “two diamond rings for Portman, made to fit on either side of her engagement ring, and a platinum band for Millepied. Both baubles are eco-friendly, made with recycled metals and conflict-free diamonds.”
Once again, Natalie has outdone herself, confirming her status as one of Hollywood’s least flashy celebrities. We are a little hurt about not being informed, though.
