Hillary Clinton wrote a rejection letter to Jason Segel

Jason Segel is probably this blog’s favorite person.

From his inspiring work in “The Muppets,” to him dating a fan, to his recent relationship with Michelle Williams (and her adorable daughter), to his suggested post-apocalyptic ending to “How I Met Your Mother,” it seems that everything Segel does just keeps upping his street-cred.

Someone who isn’t that impressed by Segel’s work is Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who also has been getting a pretty good street-cred herself with her clubbing and tumblr-texting. Segel told Us Weekly in March that he wants to star in a movie with Hilldawg, and even suggested a title: “Sarah Marshall 2: This Time It’s Personal.”

Unfortunately, Segel’s wish was respectfully declined by Clinton, who wrote him a letter saying: “I was delighted to read about your interest in sharing the big screen with me. As you can imagine, I am a little occupied at the moment, but perhaps someday I can help you forget Sarah Marshall … again. My only condition is that there be Muppets involved, and that is non-negotiable. In the meantime, you have my best wishes for continued success with your career.”

So Hillary in the “Muppets” sequel? Perhaps a Bill-Hillary and Kermit-Piggy double date? I’ll be the first one to watch that.
